1. Close Civil 3D

2. Locate service pack "installer"

3. Right-click "installer"

4. Select "Run as Administrator"

5. Accept defaults (WinZIP© Self-Extractor)

6. Ensure that "Overwrite files without prompting" is checked ON

7. Click "Run WinZip" to begin extraction

8. Click "OK" when finished to close the installer

Running the installer without Windows administrator privileges will usually result in failure
