Authorization Delays?
Background
When clicking a command, ASE Civil validates the license being used via web connection to a server. This check is performed each time any command is invoked. However, the checking process is limited so that it does not occur more than once every 7 seconds. This governor is in-place to minimize internet traffic, server load, etc.
This system has been controlling ASE licensing authorization and distribution 24 hours per day since 2015.
No changes to the system or controlling apps have been made in several years.
Issue Encountered
A client recently reported long delays of up to 15 seconds when running some ASE commands.
